The Marchesa runway show took place this week and the collection was clearly inspired by India. The runway was full of bold colors, sari inspired dresses, paisley prints, metallic fabrics, midriff-baring assembles, flowing chiffon and tons of beautiful beading & embellishment. The collection was absolutely breathtaking, I would wear any one of those pieces in a heartbeat! After viewing the collection I was definitely inspired to use some Indian Inspiration in my own work in the Interior Design world. Ironically I have noticed this year that the use of paisley prints and precious metals are trending in the ID world as well. I absolutely love it when fashion and interior design collide!
